Hello all, welcome to JAE! My name is Enazshia Russell, Head Editor of JAE Blog. First things first, I am a Philly native and Girls High Girls(250). Secondly, I am a lover of travel; I got bit with the traveling bug and I can’t stop! Experiencing new cultures, viewing beautiful landscapes and architectures are some of the reasons I’m always online looking for a good deal. I have dreams of traveling to 5 more continents before the clock strikes 30, so that means I don’t have much time!
In the Spring of 2011, I officially became a Temple Owl. I graduated from Temple University with a B.A. in Sociology. I was blessed to land jobs in the Social Services field. I have the pleasure of working with children and nothing warms my heart more than to put a smile on a child’s face. I am very passionate about educating and enlightening our future Kings and Queens.
I have witnessed first hand the disadvantages and disparities that minorities experience especially in education. Therefore, I want to focus on issues that minorities face and possible solutions to these problems. I’ve learned that change doesn’t happen overnight but as the saying goes, if you're not apart of the solution, your part of the problem. Let’s try to change the world, one step at a time.
