Soulja Boy and Nicki Minaj
When I first hear the words “Yassssss bish yasssss,” I instantly think of black females saying this to one another, to compliment something lol. For example, a female having a bad dress and pair of heels on … and her friend says “yasss bish yasss.” lol. So when I first saw that Souljah Boy was featured on this song by Nicki Minaj, I most definitely didn’t expect him to be saying this phrase, in this same exact way, throughout the chorus of the song. Maybe this was his funny way of mocking black females but also his form of empowerment to Nicki Minaj to keep working, keep stunting, and keep killing the game...

Nicki Minaj has been doing a lot of things that have caught Hip hop’s attention over the past couple months. From making the controversial “Lookin axx n***as” song to embracing her natural beauty and moving away from the colored wigs, unique and dramatic outfits, and the Harajuku Barbie look. Nicki recently donated her pink wig to Miyah Telemaque, a five year old who is battling cancer and had a wish to meet Nicki Minaj. In addition to good deeds, Nicki is currently working on her new album “The Pink Print” which should be released sometime this summer. Aside from her rap career, Nicki is a trained actress who attended the prestigious LaGuardia ‘Fame’ High School in New York, which specializes in the performing arts. (Donna McConnell). Nicki Minaj made her debut role in the movie, The Other Woman, which stars Cameron Diaz, Leslie Mann, and model Kate Upton, that was released on April 25th, 2014 and made the number 1 spot in ticket sales (Huffington Post).

Now back to song at hand, in "Yasss Bish Yasss" Minaj addresses the Donald Sterling controversy with lyrics such as, "I don't f*ck with you n**gas, I own the Clippers", shouts out Jada and Will Smith, and raps about being the "Queen Bee" (possible diss towards Beyoncé or Lil' Kim perhaps?) Give this song a listen and let me know what you think: HIT OR MISS?
