One of the performers was a pretty young lady, with a beautiful voice and talent to go along with it. Her name was Gabi Wilson. She played the guitar to the classic “In Between the Sheets” by Isley Brothers, as she went into her new single “Something to Prove” (which samples the song). Her 90 second performance was great and definitely had me ready to check out more music from this young lady …

She plays five instruments and has been writing and practicing since the age of 3 (Nick Cannon). She has performed on The Maury Show, Good Morning America, The View, The BET Awards 2010 & 2014, and has sang The National Anthem at a Los Angeles Lakers game. One of her biggest music inspirations and idols is Alicia Keys, whom she had the pleasure of meeting and singing a tribute for (in front of her) at ASCAP awards in Beverly Hills, CA. (BET) In addition to her musical abilities, Gabi has appeared in two films, School Girlz and School Girlz II with actor Nick Cannon. In 2011, she was signed to RCA Records, which many famous talented artists are signed to including Alicia Keys, Elle Varner, Jamie Foxx, Justin Timberlake, Miguel, and R. Kelly.
