In the Fall there are a lot of great Walks in Philadelphia. I have created a list of upcoming walks; information about them and when and where they are going to take place. JAE may be participating in some, we'll let you know soon so you can join our team!

Every fall, family members, friends, and colleagues walk 3–5 miles together in hundreds of communities across the nation to prevent suicide, raise awareness, and end the stigma that surrounds depression and other mental disorders.

With each stride, our walkers save lives, honor loved ones lost to suicide and raise funds to support AFSP’s vital mission.

PRO-ACT RECOVERY WALKS!

"Building on our 12 previous years of hosting Recovery Walks in downtown Philadelphia, PRO-ACT is asking you to support the largest walk ever assembled in support of addiction recovery—our 13th annual Recovery Walk on September 20. Once more, we are pleased to announce that it will be at the Great Plaza in Penn’s Landing on the beautiful waterfront. We’re extra excited this year that we’ve been able to expand the Walk route through historic Philadelphia to walk past Independence Hall and extend that symbol of freedom and dignity to what recovery brings to individuals and families, thereby benefitting the community at large" (recoverywalks.org).

The Red Cross Walk & Run to Save Lives

The Lemon Run

In addition to the more than 2,000 runners and walkers who complete the 3.1 mile course, inspirational childhood cancer heroes and their families have the opportunity to participate in a mini version of the run/walk providing inspiration to all in attendance. "The Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes here in Philadelphia is the largest Walk in the country! Walk with us and join us in committing to our vital mission, to Stop Diabetes and improve the lives of all those affected by diabetes. Join us November 1st for an interactive, fun-filled experience with a Kid's Zone for the whole family to enjoy, a Health Fest to learn about and support our diabetes efforts, vendors that are focused and committed to Stopping Diabetes, and celebrity appearances all at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.  We Step Out to do our part to Stop Diabetes!
