Flaws and All

image
I came across this quote and I couldn't agree with it more, "Confidence is silent. Insecurities are loud". This is so true because no matter how confident you may portray to be those insecurities will always rear their ugly head. Insecurities enable our possibilities to fully love and respect ourselves. We all have them no matter how big or small they are but we have to face those demons.Society affects all aspects of our lives whether we believe it or not. As we age, we are afraid of getting wrinkles because they're "ugly", but wrinkles are beautiful and shows wisdom. I personally love all of me 90% of the time, the other 10% has to deal with my weight. However, if we don't like something about ourselves we either deal with it or we fix it. I deal with my dislikes about my weight by slipping on a girdle and calling it a day! I know it's not that easy for all women and men to deal with their insecurities, but it's so much easier to love ourselves than to hate our flaws.

How many times have you come across someone who just couldn't take a compliment? 'You look so beautiful today', 'oh thanks it must be this makeup because my head is so huge'. Like, ugh how annoying is that? Just know that you're beautiful and accept it. Create a mantra you can say to yourself each morning. And the next time someone gives you a compliment, embrace it and simply say, 'thank you':)

Self love is most definitely the best love. Embrace yourself. Love yourself. Respect yourself by allowing yourself to ignore the cons and promote your pros. If you have a big forehead don't hide it, wear lipstick to bring attention to your lips, your favorite feature. You don't like how skinny you are, play up your shape by adding volume to your outfit, a peplum skirt or a peplum blouse does the trick. Let's get rid of our insecurities all together, it's been long enough.
