Crop Tops are Here to Stay!!!

cropCrop tops first came on the scene in the 70s and then reappeared in the 90s. They were usually worn in the 90s by dancers to show off their midriff and were formally known as a cutoff top or belly shirt. Last year crop tops hit the scene full force for smaller sizes and sure enough slowly crept up towards plus sizes too of course.

Wearing a crop top is a perfect way to show off skin without showing too much. Crop tops can be worn with just about anything and to any occasion as long as it’s done in a fashionable yet tasteful way. We've seen this with the crop top and skirt that Rihanna wore to the Met Gala and crop tops have also become a part of Kim Kardashian's signature look with a pencil skirt.

Plenty plus size models and plus size designers have a plethora of crop tops. So no matter your imperfections or size do not be afraid to rock a crop top. Start this summer, because it’s going to be a hot one!! Crop tops can be paired with any item: skirts, jeans, high waist-pants or shorts. Don’t be afraid to rock them because you have a bulge just dress for your body type. Remember to have fun and be confident!
