"Ayooo Beanooo!" I remember the first time I saw this talented guy perform, it was at The Blockley, when he opened up for Musiq Soulchild in February 2013. He performed a few of his own songs, along with his own rendition of “Adorn” by Miguel and “How does it feel” by D’Angelo … and it blew all the ladies in the audience away, including myself. He had such a beautiful voice, with a down-to-earth personality to match it.
Now as we fast forward to October 2014, Beano has had the pleasure of opening up for Ryan Leslie, Jesse Boykins III, as well as performing at The Roots Picnic and even traveling to Africa to sing background for Jaheim and Anthony Hamilton. In addition, you can catch Beano singing alongside to West Philly’s Own Hip Hop artist, Chill Moody.
Beano has recently released his new single, “Let it Go” (produced by Dilemma) and let me just tell you, I haven’t stopped listening to it since I purchased it lol. The song has an upbeat hip hop feel that samples “Momma said knock you out,” by the legendary MC, LL Cool J. Overall, it’s a dope song and Beano has the perfect sound to help put R&B back on the map!
