On October 3rd, we had the pleasure of attending Neiman Marcus Charity Drive hosted by MakeMeOverMalika. It was located at Neiman Marcus in King of Prussia Mall. The event included a VIP cocktail reception and fashion showcase highlighting Neiman Marcus's top trends for Fall 2014.

During the VIP reception we enjoyed hors d'oeuvre from restaurants located in KOP mall such as Cantina Laredo, Corner Bakery, and Morton's Steakhouse. Our favorites were the low calorie dessert shots from Season 52. And how could I forget about the chocolate covered strawberries from Edible Arrangements.

f2We also had the chance to chat with Malika Barber, owner of MakeMeOverMalika. She looked stunning in her BCBG dress and always flawless hair. We learned more about MakeMeOverMalika which uses the 'Psychology of Styling' to service each individual client. According to her website, “prior to receiving any styling services, all clients complete a client intake assessment form, where they will answer a series of questions about their level of self-comfort, body image, and go-to-style preferences.” This is a sure way to make sure each person’s style dilemmas are met!

Next up was what we all were waiting for, the fashion showcase. It was hosted by Bret from GQ and Kirsten from Glamour. Both of their wardrobes were by designer Tiffany Baker. Bret mentioned that guy’s style should look effortless, while Kirsten felt that Fall is all about cozy knits for girls!

Malika Barber (MakeMeOverMalika) helped style over 30 looks for both the female and male models. They were all exclusive Neiman Marcus clothing. I think most people in the audience could agree that the looks made us excited to update our wardrobe this Fall. I know I especially want to add some fur pieces!
