I remember some time back when Jazmine Sullivan announced that she was retiring from making music. All of her fans were in shock and sad. She couldn't leave us; not with hits like Lions, Tigers and Bears and Need You Bad. I just hoped what she needed was some time off. Now after a brief hiatus she's back with her new album Reality Show and I LOVE IT. You can listen to this album straight through and if I had to pick two faves they would be Mascara and Veins...*sings*
Next up is Ne-Yo's new album Non-Fiction. A lot of his fans wanted him to go back to his original sound because they really didn't care for the “pop Ne-Yo”. And he certainly has done it with this album. He's telling a story and if you listen closely, its pretty juicy! My favorite songs are Take You There and Religious. I made one of my friends listen to those two songs and she called her man up to make arrangements for later that evening.lol He also has features on his album from T.I., Schoolboy Q, and Juicy J.
These two albums have me so excited for R&B. I never thought it was dead because I always find great music...P.S. Be on the look out for new music from the lovely Deborah Cox. Take a listen to Mascara from Jazmine Sullivan and Take You There from Ne-Yo below and let me know what you think?!
