I'm pretty much a girly girl sometimes lol, and I like pretty girly things. I've been coming across a lot of girly type clothing that may be pink, have flowers, lace, long flowy dresses and flouncy skirts. Wearing pretty things always make u feel girly in some way or another. I think its fun to incorporate girly things in your wardrobe.
Although we're adults and we may think of "girly girl" as a child like thing, it can be mature and even sexy if done in the right fashion. One color that is very popular this spring is the color
blush, blush is pink of course but its a light almost pastel pink. I think that its a color that looks beautiful on every skin tone.
I've picked up a few pieces in the color and I absolutely love it on my skin. I didn't think I would actually feel sexy wearing blush, however when trying on my pieces I actually did. Its a great color to soften up your wardrobe transitioning into spring. It looks great with jeans, neutral colors and against gold accessories. Give it a try!
Wearing lace is fun and can be kept simple for a day time look paired with jeans or a long skirt in a light color or it can be super sexy for night in a dark color worn with leather. Lace can be super sexy, fun and flirty or trashy so look for sophisticated not cheap looking lace. Choose pieces that look like clothing not lingerie, we're going outside not to bed. Keep it cute, lol.
However, when shopping be open to soft girly sophisticated things. Look for things that are flattering and are sexy, even in floral patterns. Floral patterns in things that are frumpy or ill fitting are not a good idea; it makes you look like a grandmom so be careful when choosing floral patterned pieces. We all remember Kim K.'s floral mistake lol, don't let that deter you though. Tap into your girly girl side and have fun.
Its easy to wear the colors such as blush and floral prints just be careful and don't over do it because you can. I'm all for mixing prints but I'm not to fond of mixing floral prints if you're going to wear floral separates stick to one print and pair it with a solid color blazer, duster, cardigan or kimono. Make sure floral prints you choose are flattering to your skin to and the pieces fit you properly, best way to keep it cute.
Here's a few looks I've come up with using polyvore to give an idea of how to create looks using lace, floral, and the color blush. Click on the link to go to my polyvore to see where to buy the items in the picture:
