6abc.comHave y’all heard the great news? Philadelphia’s own Temple University has molecular tools that have successfully taken HIV out of a cell in a cellular lab. Currently, HIV treatment is only suppressing the virus but any interruption in treatment the virus begins to replicate again. Refer back to JAE’s HIV article for more details. This ground breaking success will open up so many doors to eliminating HIV and other viruses and possibly introduce a vaccine to prevent the HIV virus.
