EBOLA in the U.S.

http://jaeblog.com/2014/08/07/the-ebola-outbreak/eboula

If yall didn't know, there has been cases of Ebola in the U.S. First there were two doctors that cared for patients in Africa who were treated down in Atlanta's Emory University Hospital, where they survived. Now, the first reported death from Ebola was in Dallas, Texas this week. Refer to JAE's Ebola Outbreak article for more history and clinical info. In this article, I am going to let you know what you can do to help contain the virus outbreak and prevent the spread!‎

There has now been a panic because Ebola is transmitted through contact via bodily fluids and is highly contagious. Now, our country is much more fortunate than western Africa. We do have running water, hand sanitizer, proper hand washing, excellent health care and wider spread living quarters. But, we can contract and spread the disease if contacted. The incubation period, the time interval from exposure to the virus to onset of symptoms, is 2 to 21 days, which means that it could take a long time to know if you have it or not. VERY IMPORTANT!!!! Do not travel to West Africa and please advise everyone you know the same thing. Also, keep your work and living space clean and sanitized. Wash and sanitize your hands frequently! If you have any symptoms listed above including sore throat and coughing, contact your doctor. If you know of someone that traveled from Africa within the last month, please advise them to look out for these symptoms as well.

HELP CONTAIN THE VIRUS, DO YOUR PART!!!
